Experience
09/2003 – 02/2004 Kordsa - Dupont
At the third semester of the master program that I was attending in Sabanci University, I worked in Kordsa as a design engineer for a period of six months. I designed a machine that measures the individual tensions of 2000 fibers, entering a weaving machine. In addition to design, I programmed the PLC based servo motor controller, SIMOTION (Siemens), and operator panel, OP170B, of the machine. The targets of the project were a cost of 15.000€ and measurement speed of 1 fiber/sec. At the end of the project, we achieved a cost of 10.000€ and measurement speed of 3 fibers/sec.

I started working in General System Design (GSD) as a project engineer, where I would be responsible from design, maintenance, and commissioning of all types of industrial automation projects, including programming of PLC, DCS, HMI, drivers... etc. I quit GSD after being accepted to Leaders for Industry Program in Sabanci University.

I began working in REPKON, which is a hydraulic press and special machinery manufacturer and exporter, as a design and R/D engineer and I was given the responsibility of being the head of design team for the last seven months. I designed two column-type hydraulic presses; one for Tekersan AS and one for Fontijne-Holland, and I completed the unfinished design of a ready-made C-Type press. I also designed a 120.000€ worth automation line for Tekersan AŞ. I quit Repkon after being employed in GSD.
